Layal Chaker, composer and violinist from Lebanon has had Holland Baroque on her wish list for ages. The 21st of September at the Bimhuis it wil happen: during the NewLands Festival we present a new program with this violinist who has traveled the world with Daniel Barenboim’s West-Eastern Divan Orchestra at least ten times. Improvisations on ancient Gregorian songs through the sparkling eyes of Beirut. This was Layale’s idea and we were on board immediately.
