From the cabaret chansons of Sven Ratzke to Italian virtuosity with the great French violinist Théotime Langois de Swarte, Rameau with soprano Julie Roset and Bach and Eissler with baritone Thomas Oliemans; Holland Baroque will make baroque sound in many ways next season.

One of the highlights of the coming season is the final concert of Utrecht 900. The festivities surrounding this anniversary will be concluded on 11 November with a concert in TivoliVredenburg. Under the direction of Philipp Ahmann, Holland Baroque, the Dutch Bach Society, Nederlands Kamerkoor and the Cathedral Choir Schools of Paramaribo and Utrecht will share the stage. Arturo den Hartog and Lucretia Starke also sing along during this special AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert.

Holland Baroque and Sven Ratzke will tour the Netherlands at the end of 2022 with the surprising theater show Love is Crazy. Anew world arises in which baroque merges with contemporary songs about love. This program looks at everything around Christmas with a slightly recalcitrant eye, without making us love it any less.

Together with Thomas Oliemans, we will dive into the repertoire of Johann Sebastian Bach and Hanns Eisler in February 2023. This unexpected combination of two very good composers brought us together. Paradise happiness seems to be on the other side of both. Where we are not…

Also new is Tears of Brabant. In March 2023, Holland Baroque will present the musical traditions of 17th-century monastic life in North Brabant together with five female soloists.

Moreover, we are bringing a number of projects from last season back on stage. For example, Brabant 1653 can be seen in Cuijk in October and in Regensburg in May 2023. Bach’s Königin will be reprised in February in Utrecht and Heerlen.
