After the successful performance of the St Matthew Passion conducted by the grand master of contemporary music Reinbert de Leeuw, a documentary was made which was hugely popular in cinemas for months.
Especially the way the musicians themselves experienced the music came across really strong.
In 2019, Bach’s music will be performed again in Reinbert de Leeuw’s emotionally charged version.
