Overview

In the 17th century, the mandolin initially traveled through the Mediterranean via Naples. Now from Vivaldi to bluegrass, from jazz to world music, the mandolin has found its way all over the world.
Nominated for a classical Grammy, Avi Avital is the driving force behind the revival of the mandolin.

Passionate and ‘explosively charismatic’ (New York Times) in live performances, Avi Avital joins Holland Baroque for a program full of fiery baroque, Mediterranean melodies, and impassioned improvisations.
Repertoire:Vivaldi, Barbella, Avital & Sollima.

Holland Baroque is playing again with the safety of both the musicians and the visitors as paramount. That is why, together with the concert venues, we make every effort to ensure that our concerts take place in a safe and responsible manner.

Concerts (with the exception of Waalse Kerk) cancelled. Livestream on November 8.
