Overview

In 2017 it has been exactly 450 years since guest house the Leeuwenbergh in Utrecht was built. To celebrate this lustrum, Holland Baroque presents a program that represents 450 years of Leeuwenbergh.

The former pest-, and guest house Leeuwenbergh in Utrecht is 450 years old. In this beautiful building, now a concert hall, Holland Baroque rehearsed and performed from their first hour; Extra rehearsals in the changing rooms, broken strings, letting the big organ play along, raise the glass with you as a public… everything came along and the building quietly approved.

To celebrate this lustrum, Holland Baroque presents a program that represents 450 years of Leeuwenbergh. A program partially based on music from Monteverdi, born in 1567, the year of construction of the Leeuwenbergh, and his contemporaries Falconieri, Cavalli and Purcell.

A program in which Holland Baroque, together with soprano Maria Keohane and tenor Benedikt Kristjánsson, celebrate that a building like this is a building of past, present and future.

You are warmly invited.
