Under the baton of conductors Luc Anthonis, Adrian Rodríguez and Tineke steenbrink, 100 singers spent three days working intensively on a distinctive and varied repertoire. The result can be heard in this vibrant concert featuring music from different centuries and corners of the globe.

About the conductors
Luc Anthonis studied at the Antwerp Conservatoire, where he has been a lecturer in choral conducting for many years. He is in great demand for masterclasses in choral conducting and as a jury member for national and international choral competitions. He conducted the Cantilene youth choir for 43 years. He currently conducts the Caljenté choir and the Cantando chamber choir, of which he is the founder. He has also served as a guest conductor and rehearsal conductor with the Flemish Radio Choir, where, amongst other things, he helped bring works by Flemish composers to the stage.
As artistic director, harpsichordist and organist, Tineke Steenbrink, together with her sister Judith Steenbrink, is the beating heart of Holland Baroque. She also conducts vocal ensembles and choirs. For example, she is involved every year as a conductor with the Batenburg Baroque Festival Choir, and she recently conducted the students of the Conservatoire National de Paris.
Adrián Rodriguez Van der Spoel is a conductor, performer and researcher of Argentine-Dutch descent. He was born in Rosario, Argentina, and studied choral conducting and composition at the Amsterdam Conservatoire. His main interest lies in the study and performance of the Spanish-American repertoire from the era of the Spanish viceroys. He wrote the book Bailes Tonadas & Cachuas; music from the Trujillo Codex of Peru in the 18th century. He has also specialised in Renaissance polyphony and in mensural notation from the same period. He is the founder of the ensemble Música Temprana.

Under the direction of choir conductors Luc Anthonis, Tineke Steenbrink, and Adrián Van der Spoel, and in collaboration with the musicians of Holland Baroque, you’ll spend three days working intensively on a wonderful repertoire in an atmospheric, musical setting. The work will take place in three choirs, which will be combined for some pieces. You will therefore sing in a choir of around 40 singers and also with 120 singers.
