\u201cTo me, Bach is the ultimate elevation of what the human mind has ever created\u2026\u201d \u2013 Reinbert de Leeuw on the St Matthew Passion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the successful performance of the St Matthew Passion conducted by the grand master of contemporary music Reinbert de Leeuw, a documentary was made which was hugely popular in cinemas for months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especially the way the musicians themselves experienced the music came across really strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, Bach\u2019s music will be performed again in Reinbert de Leeuw\u2019s emotionally charged version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
