Alex Mooren

Alex Mooren is the program manager of the Goudse Schouwburg in Gouda. In this role, he is responsible for the 300 professional performances in the theater and the program developed in collaboration with the city. Before Gouda, he worked in theaters in Alphen aan den Rijn and Velsen. Until last year, he was a jury member for the VSCD Theatre Awards for Youth Theatre. Mooren started his career as a marketer and producer for various companies and producers, including Het Toneelhuis in Antwerp, WinterSpelen, Hummelinck Stuurman, BarokOpera Amsterdam, and the Chamber Opera Festival/Chamber Opera House. As the managing director of Theater Mogul, he oversaw the productions of this company in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, and Hungary. He is a board member of, among others, Het Motorblok, a creative workshop for creators in Zaandam.
